self ignorance

Independent Eternal Immortal Inner Self is Hallucination and Self-Ignorance

Self and the feeling of being inner self or “I” arises due to your association with the known and unknown. Self is neither eternal nor independent of its constituent cause and conditions in any way.

The Self arise due to self-conception or self-ideation through your identification or association with artificial ideas like name, age, gender, class, caste, nationality, religion, beliefs, eternal self, good, bad etc., thus making you rigid, insecure and conflicting with the present reality. Feeling of being inner self or “I” is due to your association with known and unknown affecting the cause and conditions of life processes.

Hence in meditation, due to changed cause and conditions of life processes, there neither any feeling of being inner self or “I” nor any identification with the artificially constructed Self.

Due to the Self, you are rigid and in conflict with the reality. Due to identification with the artificially defined ideas, you become pawn in the hands of authorities playing us-versus-them identity politics game to keep their flocks together for exploitation.

Due to feeling of being inner-self or “I”, the quality of your life experience diminishes and you are not able to explore your full potential to live life. Just like painful knee or upset stomach makes you conscious of it, so also, self-consciousness is symptom of some disorder in your constitution.

Self-delineation and self-conception due to your association with known and unknown giving rise to the Self and feeling of being inner self or “I” is self-ignorance.

Without the feeling of being inner self or “I”, you are fully aware knowing everything as it is in the right context. Without the Self based on you association and identification with artificial ideas, you are flexible like formless water.

Inner-Self Is Stress

An infant just born has no sense of self or “I” until a certain age. Infant is a natural and nature is original. The notion and sense of self is developed later in life during growth in order to interact with the environment and adapt with the society.

Self is acutely conjured for meeting the demands of environment in order to survive and flourish but self should not arise when not necessary. However, due to wrong upbringing and unhealthy conditions, the Self can become chronic and severe.

During the right practice of meditation, you are fully aware without the feeling of being inner self or “I” and you are free from the Self. Self is conditional and impermanent.

You Are Phenomenon of Awareness.

Nature and natural richness is original. Naturally you are the result of dynamic interaction of your indispensable constituent cause and conditions, including but not limited to your ancestors, your body, your processes of life, actions and effects of those actions, without which you cannot continue to exist in any way.

You are awareness, phenomenon of knowing arising due to your constituent cause and conditions. You become your actions and you continue in the effect of your actions. This is commonsense and as obvious as truth of earth, nature, pain, disease, old age and death.

Society Enforces Ideas of Eternal Inner Self

You are prematurely or chronically hypnotized due to association with artificial ideas and beliefs about who you are. This self-delineation divides you and gives rise to stress in form of feeling of being inner self or “I” and the Self based on artificial identities.

You get prematurely and chronically hypnotized by this idea of being independent eternal immortal inner self with after life or next birth. Some cultures may ridiculously believe that self enters the female womb during pregnancy.

Eternal reality of inner self” or inner being” or “Ego” or inner soul or inner spirit” etc.., independent of the process of life and actions, is a naive primitive idea sustained artificially by institutions of society and passed down from one generation to the next through cultural and customary beliefs out of fear of death and desire for imortality.

At an early age, society imposes you with artificial ideas like class, caste, religion, race, nationality and unproven ideas like past life, next life, soul, ghosts, after life, rebirth, reincarnation, supreme Creator and controller etc.

If you are brought up in such society, the idea of distinct inner self or being may seem real, and you may live and act through self-ignorance according to your identities.

You tend to accept the idea of reality of distinct inner self or inner being independent of conditions of life, if it is given to you by someone whom you trust, like or depend on, for example, parents.

You tend to believe just because everyone believes and not because you know. If you know that self is eternal or immortal, you may not fear death or keep suffering by holding on to life under some pretext or the other.

You Are Impermanent

You do not exist independent of your constituent cause and conditions, neither as awareness nor as the Self. You cease to exist with the death, decay, disintegration, dispersion and recycling of your constituent cause and conditions. This is practically known in all forms of life. There is no rebirth or after life.

Though becoming self-aware beyond the Self during meditation may seem like deathlessness due to freedom from the Self, neither awareness nor the Self can continue after life or beyond death.

Knowing the impermanence of life, you value it and live life authentically without getting attached.

Continuity After Death in the Effect of Intentional Actions

You are awareness, the phenomenon of knowing arising due to constituent cause and conditions, you become your actions and you continue after death in the effect of your intentional actions. This is naturally self-evident like pain, disease, old age or death.

You are effect of your own actions, whether tangible or intangible. For your own good, you should live in a right manner, act in a right manner and leave the right effect through your actions.

However, due to self-ignorance, you may live in a wrong manner, you may perform wrong actions, and you may produce wrong effect through your actions.

Wrong Effect of Intentional Actions Due to Ignorance

Due to self-ignorance, you may believe yourself to be eternal immortal inner self or “I” independent of cause and conditions. As inner self, you may believe in next birth or after life.

Eternal immortal reality of inner self or inner being independent of constituent cause and conditions is your hallucination and has no real existence except in your fantasy due to self-ignorance. The effects of your intentional actions are your continuity after life. You are born in the effect of your intentional actions.

Due to self-ignorance, you may suffer from constant self-consciousness and act rigidly according to self-conception based on your identification with ideas like age, gender, class, caste, religion, race, nationality etc. in constant conflict with the reality.

Believing that you are eternally independent of cause and conditions will put in conflict with life and your environment. The effect of your conflicting life and actions will be your continuity.

Whereas, living with a detached disinterested awareness without inner-self, you will live with awareness, sensitivity, empathy and harmoniously with the reality of cause and conditions of life.

You Continue in Your Effect

You are awareness, the phenomenon of knowing arising due to your indispensable constituent cause and conditions including processes of life. You become your action, and you attract the effect of your intentional action just like, as classically said, “calf attracted to its mother”. You create your internal and external ecosystem through effect of your intentional actions.

For example, if you create a weapon for a wrong reason, it is more likely to end up in battlefield and get destroyed; however, if you plant a fruit tree for right reason, it is more likely to attract life. Right motives and right actions give rise to right effect and a right ecosystem.

You become your actions and you continue in the effect of your intentional actions in form of your children and your contribution to society, nature and universe.

The effects of your action will find its destiny just as water, air, earth, and heat find their destiny in the endless recycling of nature and universe. The way you live and act in the present will determine the future of the effects of your actions.

The way you live, act and effect, has to be right for you and for others. You have a choice to make regarding how to live, what actions to take and what effects to leave.

Impermanence Through Endless Recycling

But even the effect of actions is neither eternal nor permanent. Nothing is permanent. Everything dies or changes, disintegrates and gets endlessly recycled through the law of impermanence.

Just like a wave of water settles and disintegrates into different waves, so also you disintegrate and continue after death as multiple varied effects of your intentional actions. Nothing continues intact and nothing is permanent in the endless recycling of life, society, nature and universe.

Hence you should be detached to be happy in impermanence, act ethically and effect benevolently.

Individual actions and effect of those actions stay in the ecosystem of which they are a part. Hence society should encourage ethical life and actions for a benevolent impact.

Deconstructing blind faith

Deconstructing Blind Faith and Orthodox Beliefs Through Knowledge and Experience

It is better to remember and recognize through curiosity, experience and knowledge rather than believe or assume.

It is natural to doubt and ask plenty of questions. Ask questions and do not settle for wrong answers. It is better to live without answers rather than believe in wrong answers.

Faith and belief can kill your curiosity and your ability to live life with beginners open mind of an original explorer.

Blind faith and beliefs are psychological sedatives that can help you to bear suffering but never cure it.

Right Knowledge Deconstructs Blind Faith and Orthodox Beliefs

Ideas are psychological point of views in some context, and they do not represent the complete reality. Ideas are artificially created by humans for some practical reason. Ideas can eventually become outdated, irrelevant or useless.

You may have faith and belief in the ideas and philosophies even if they are outdated, unproven or impractical. Faith and belief are not knowledge or experience of reality like knowledge and experience of pain, disease, old age and death which are known practically.

To have blind faith and orthodox belief in ideas without knowledge and experiences is to deceive yourself knowingly. You have faith and belief does not necessarily mean that you know, or you have the experience. Having faith or believing is not equivalent to knowing the truth or reality.

Knowledge, on the other hand, is to know the truth established through personal experience, experimentation, validation, verification, application or demonstration through all means of knowing. When you know, you need not believe. However, the knowledge has to be correct in the right context.

You will get misled by your own mind by believing in that which does not exist.

Rigidity and Burden Due to Blind Faith and Orthodox Beliefs

Faith and beliefs are ideas or assumptions accepted to be true or untrue. Faith and belief can create unconscious bias affecting your decisions and actions.

Due to faith and beliefs, you may live alienated from reality and act in a very rigid manner in order to confirm with your blind faith and orthodox belief rather than live and act harmoniously with the reality of cause and conditions.

Consciously you may have faith and belief but deep inside you may remain ignorant.

Faith and Beliefs contribute to your subliminal stress of ignorance rather than the wisdom of not knowing. Faith and belief add to psychological burden that is unnecessary while keeping you off-guard about truth and reality.

Faith and beliefs can wrongly influence the process of life and actions without your knowledge. For example, due to early life belief in god and his judgement, you may continue to live in fear and anxiety but not know the source of it.

Growing up in such psychological prison can influence the processes of life and growth at young age to impact your physiological and psychological health in later life just like a poorly stressfully developed lamb due to forgotten fear of a tiger.

Early life beliefs may be forgotten but continue to stress the involuntary process of life. It is like accidently believing rope to be a snake and getting stressed over it or accidently believing snake as rope and remain gullible only to get bitten.

You are carrying many such forgotten faiths and beliefs that stress the process of your life by adding to your psychological burden. Supreme creator, eternal self and after life are such beliefs affecting the process of your life and your actions.

Such blind faiths and beliefs can devalue life, impair priority in your value system and corrupt your principles due to which your natural sense of righteousness and honesty towards yourself and towards others can get affected.

Why Do You Believe or Have Faith?

Many of your faiths and beliefs are not your conscious choice. You have beliefs and faiths passed down to you in the early life before you knew how to question.

During early childhood due to delicate nervous system before maturity, you are highly suggestible and vulnerable to hypnosis, you are also highly impressionable and vulnerable to conditioning.

The foundation of your life is laid on your beliefs, mindset, and attitudes formed during early life through your experiences and upbringing. Early-life beliefs become part of your physiological and psychological conditioning.

You believe in the ideas if you like, depend, or trust the source of those ideas, for example parents, friends, teachers, charismatic personalities etc. You believe because everyone believes and not because you know.

You also adopt beliefs based on your experiences if you are too lazy to examine their truth and reasoning. For example, if you never saw cow giving milk, you may believe that dairy gives milk rather than cow.

Belief is due to lack of knowledge and experience. You may believe without knowing. You may believe without empirical evidence obtained through right means and methods including experimentation, validation and verification based on understanding of empirical evidence.

Beliefs are not the universal reality or absolute truth. Nothing should be accepted as true without investigating into it by yourself on basis of experimentation, verification, validation, application, demonstration or at least correct personal knowledge in the right context.

Rather than belief or leap of faith, have trust and leap of confidence based on training, knowledge, experience and understanding. Rather than believe or assume, doubt and be curious.

Deconstructing Faith Through Seamless Clarity of Awareness

Faith can be deconstructed by experiencing, knowing correctly in the right context as it is, verifying and validating the reality by all means.

Reality should be known and validated and verified for it’s constituent cause and conditions at all levels in order to know it correctly in the right context as it is.

By being fully aware and detached without self, you know correctly in the right context as it is without associating or identifying with the known or unknow.

Through seamless clarity of detached awareness, you are self-aware without the Self and you live life with a beginner’s mind like an original explorer without any crutches of faith or beliefs.

By being aware without associating with the known or unknown, you know and understand your experiences correctly in the right context through all the natural and artificial means.

Such seamless clarity of awareness, the phenomenon of knowing correctly in the right context as it is without activities in the mind or reacting to the known or unknown is necessary to deconstruct faith and learn to live without faiths or beliefs.

Right practice of meditation, that is not based on faith or belief, can help you to cultivate that seamless clarity of detached awareness necessary to deconstruct faiths or beliefs and live life authentically with a beginner’s mind like an original explorer.
