Suffering can arise due to unnecessary desires, aversions and attachments in the constantly changing impermanent play of life.
The way you live and act in the impermanent constantly changing life and the world can give rise to attachment and suffering. Hence, you should acknowledge impermanence and live in such a way that you do not get attached, neither psychologically nor materially.
Without attachment there is no association and identification with known or unknown. Without association or identification there is no self. Without self, you are flexible and harmonious like formless water.
Without attachments, desires and aversions you are selfless, like the formless flowing water, neither grasping, nor getting attached but constantly adapting itself harmoniously with the change.
Attached, you are selective, partial, arbitrary and take everything personally. Detached, you are impartial, disinterested and impersonal but not disconnected. Nonattachment is basis of your freedom and autonomy.
Impermanence Reigns Supreme
Everything known, unknown or beyond are impermanent phenomena arising due to it’s constituent cause and conditions, which ultimately change, disintegrate, disperse and gets recycled. Change and impermanence are ultimately supreme eternal laws.
The idea of “gods” or “The Supreme Creator” is irrelevant, because you are also impermanent. Since you are impermanent and everything known and unknown is impermanent on account of it’s changing constituent cause and conditions, there is no point in getting attached to any ideas or beliefs.
Non-attachment is harmonious with the supreme law of impermanence in the greater scheme of life, whereas attachment in the petty schemes of life is against the supreme law of impermanence.
Hence attachment brings suffering whereas non-attachment elevates you above suffering.
Happiness In Nonattachment
Enjoy your life sustainably in the present by living in such a way that you do not get attached.
Since you and everything known, unknown or beyond is impermanent, there should neither be fear of personal loss nor jealousy towards success of others. Everything good and bad that you and others has will be lost eventually.
Life is impermanent and so it is to be enjoyed sustainably in the present without regrets; however, nothing is worth regretting in the one and only ephemeral life.
Living without attachment, you will neither be saddened by loss nor fear loss. Without attachment, you will accept change and move on with the great natural flow of life.
Nonattachment Through Meditation
Nonattachment is one of the many benefits of meditation. In meditation, through focused attention, you dissociate from known and unknown to become selfless and get detached.
Meditation relieves the subliminal stress of association with the known or unknown to make you aware and detached, enabling you to know correctly in the right context as it is without getting drawn or lost into know and unknown. Without the stress of association or identification with known or unknown, you are undivided whole without self.
Through meditation you find your natural feeling of peace, fulfillment and you reconnect to your naturally rich innocence as if you were never corrupted by the hustle and bustle of society.
