Origin of Buddhism: Sublime Ethical Atheism in a Nutshell

Early Buddhism is an atheist’s way of a sublime life based on knowing correctly in the right context as it is rather than following belief or faith.

“Tathata” is ancient Pali word for knowing correctly in the right context as it is. “Tathagat” is word for person who has attained to such authentic knowing, also knowing the truth of their own nature as they are. Such persons were called Buddhas, the awakened ones who know as it is.

Buddha means “bodh” in Pali language which also means intellect or awareness, the phenomenon of knowing correctly in the right context as it is. The sublime ethical way of life lived through awareness is called “dhamma” in Pali language which can be translated to sublime human nature or ultimate human duty leading to a sublime life.

Nascent Buddhist Philosophy

Buddhist ideas were collectively documented during first and second Buddhist councils attended by hundreds of monks who personally knew their teacher, the renunciate Sakya prince Siddhartha Gotama later called Gautam Buddha.

Later, due to loss of patronage and status in the society through decline of Mauryan Dynasty, Buddhism adapted with the theistic ideas like deities, past birth and next birth. Some of the later schools of Buddhism believe that life forms are reborn due to intact transmigration of mind even after death, decay, disintegration, dispersion and recycling of the life form.

However, different gods and idea of multiple births in the philosophy of later Buddhism are underplayed and made subservient to the ultimate principle of impermanence or “anitya”, no inner-self or “anatma”, and collective conditional arising due to cause and conditions also called “samutpada”. Samutpada is an idea of life forms getting recreated cyclically through collective arising or Samsara in a closed system that gets constantly recycled. According to Buddhism, individual life forms are not reborn but get recreated through recycling.

Like atheists, Buddhists do not believe blindly. Just like atheists, the early Buddhists emphasized on knowing correctly in the right context through all the right means including but not limited to the six senses and clarity of awareness.

Early Buddhists were naturalists and extrapolated the cyclic nature of life to the beginningless universe which constantly changes and transforms through disintegration, dispersion, endless recycling and recreation.

Unlike theists, the early Buddhists did not bother themselves with imaginary ideas that cannot be validated, verified, proven, demonstrated, applied or known correctly. Hence early Buddhists did not consider irrelevant ideas like supreme creator and controller or God, birth, next birth and eternal immortal inner self independent of cause and conditions.

According to Buddhists, everything known and unknown is a phenomenon arising due to constituent cause and conditions. All phenomena are empty without it’s constituent cause and conditions.

When asked about god or the God, Buddha is known to have remained silent and when asked about after life, Buddha said that there is neither permanent Self nor independent inner self. However, Buddha was confronted by priests for preaching a Godless philosophy.

In later Buddhism, the supreme creator is rendered as one of the many insignificant dispensable factors that contribute to the story of creation and life.

On the other hand, the core Buddhist ideas like

Pragya or ability to know correctly in the right context,

anatta meaning no inner self,

anitya meaning impermanence, and

samutpada meaning collective conditional arising due to cause and conditions,

all indicate towards absence of monotheism or polytheism and after life, thus clearly indicating their atheist disposition.

Buddhism’s core emphasis on no eternal immortal inner self renders the idea of supreme creator or controller irrelevant.

Based on the philosophy of impermanence, phenomenon of creation due to eternal recycling of cause and conditions, no inner self and emptiness of awareness, Buddhists carved a map of life for their monks and their lay followers for mitigating suffering and attaining supreme peace of enlightenment or Nirvana.

Without eternal immortal inner self, Buddhism proposed that individual is a phenomenon of knowing arising due to constituent cause and conditions, individual becomes their tangible and intangible actions and individual continues in the effect of their intentional actions. However, Buddhism encourages to dispel ignorance, acknowledge suffering, expel impurities and escape the recycling of life to escape suffering.

Early Buddhism, without any beliefs in ideas of supreme creator and eternal inner self, was practice of living responsible ethical life and becoming sublime by expelling negativity through skillful actions producing benevolent effects.

Map of Buddhist Life

Buddhists do not believe in praying for better life or for better after life. Buddhists avoid unethical life and follow the principle of nonattachment to the impermanence of life and forms.

Buddhists strive to cure negativities by improving themselves, try to avoid negative activities, and try to do more meritorious deeds in order to mitigate the negativity in life. This principle is classically explained as “reducing the saltiness of water by adding more pure water”.

The way of sublime life, according to Buddhists, lay emphasis on ethical life, restrained actions, getting rid of negativity, self-improvement and leaving good effect on the world.

This is done through the 4 Buddhist noble truths that points to suffering of life, the 5 Buddhist principles to follow for a happy long haul of life and the 8 Buddhist rules for skillful living.

According to Buddhists, human nature is perfect without negativity, life is happiness without suffering and suffering is due to ignorance giving rise to unnecessary desires, aversions and attachments.

Buddhist Practices

Buddha urged his followers to be their own guide, carve their own path, follow the middle way and avoid extremes in order to live ethically and act skillfully.

Catharsis Through Meditation

Buddhism has the idea that “tanha” or stress giving rise to the Self is a source of conflict. According to Buddhism, the Self and it’s negativities give rise to rigidity, unskillfulness and conflict through self-conception, self-ideation, self-identity, self-image, inner self etc. Hence buddha encouraged living stress-free natural life of nonviolence and self-care.

Buddha encouraged practicing constant awareness of breath at entrance of nostrils through practice of “Vipassana” or “Anapanasati” meditation. Through Vipassana meditation stress is relieved, the awareness becomes seamlessly clear and without activities in mind. Without activities in the mind, the Self is dispelled and it’s negativities are expelled through process of catharsis. Catharsis is one of the many benefits of meditation.

Buddha taught to cure negativities, cultivate “pragya” or seamlessly clear detached awareness to reveal the natural pleasures of meditation and peace. Through “pragya” the “maya” or hypnosis is cured thus dispelling the charms of life and the world. According to Buddha, natural pleasure of meditation can render the meditator independent of external agencies for happiness.

Non-Violence and Supreme Value of Life

Buddha, knowing the precarious position of human life under some pretext or the other in the factionalized society of his time, declared human life to be rare, impermanent and of supreme value.

Buddha had declared absolute non-violence towards oneself and others as supreme duty or “dhamma” and upheld compassion as absolute principle to follow for his students. Buddha positively emphasized the moto of universal human welfare and universal human happiness, “bahujan hitaya bahujan sukhaya” to his disciples.

Declaring that all life tremble at the prospect of pain and fear death, Buddha upheld the ancient sublime idea of treating the other as oneself. Buddhis said that life is the ultimate value and non-violence is the ultimate human duty or sublime human nature.

However, Buddhism does not impose dietary rules of vegetarianism as evident through the Buddhist monks eating any food offered by any person regardless of their status in society. However, Buddhists do not adopt occupations that can harm life.

Nonviolence of Buddhism begins with oneself and does acknowledge the right to defend oneself and escape harm.

Enlightenment In Buddhism

Buddhist spiritual enlightenment is characterized by a feeling of deep relief and peace

The relief felt is due to freedom from “maya” meaning hypnotic attachment to the world and the feeling of peace is due to freedom from cravings or unnecessary desires. There is nothing supernatural about enlightenment in Buddhism.

However, the sublime peace of enlightenment is compared to relief from grave illness, big debt, coming home safely without getting robbed from dangerous route etc..

Buddha remembered and compared the peace of enlightenment to the deep peace he had felt during his carefree moments of happy childhood.

Death in Buddhism

Buddhism regards death as the end of life without any afterlife but declares continuity of individual in the effect of their intentional actions after death, disintegration, dispersion and recycling of life. Buddhism in later periods erroneously declared continuity of mind after life beyond death.

According to Buddhism, a lay person who has continued in the effect of their actions through possessions and relationships, does not ceased completely after death and may continue to suffer.

On the other hand, a monk who has not left any effect of their intentional actions will reach “nirvana” or enlightenment after getting purified through spiritual efforts and ceases completely after their death thus leaving behind nothing and thus reaching the state of “mahaparinirvana” or meta-enlightenment from the point of view of living beings.

Hence, life is a rare and valuable phenomenon according to Buddhism but not worth getting attached due to the suffering inherent in it.

Rebirth Through Collective Arising

Though there is no permanent “Self” in Buddhism, the ideas of eternal self and cycle of birth and death mushroomed in later Buddhism due to misunderstanding created by Buddha referring to contemporary ideas of rebirth and formation of living beings due to infiltration of womb by consciousness.

This misunderstanding in Buddhism, of the consciousness entering womb, is further fueled by the story of Mahamaya dreaming a white elephant entering her womb. Rather than understanding it as her subconscious interpretation of fertilization due to white sperm entering womb it is misinterpreted as Buddha’s consciousness entering her womb. Mahamaya was mother of prince Siddartha Gotama the Buddha.

Though, some of the modern Buddhists believe that mind transmigrates after life beyond death and some believe that conditions of Buddha consciousness get recreated repeatedly, most Buddhists adhere to the known facts of impermanence, no independent inner-Self, no permanent Self, and collective conditional arising of creation without any supreme Creator.

According to Buddhist philosophy of “Samutpada”, we are collectively reborn as part of nature and society or “Samsara” in a closed system of world. Hence Buddhism lays stress upon the importance of renunciation, wandering and living alone like a Rhino in order to escape the stream of recycling and prevent rebirth as part of collective society in a closed system.

Hence Buddhists acknowledge that life is suffering in order to escape the stream of recreation and collective arising. Samutpada means collective arising which means individual is reborn as part of collective through their associations and effects of intentional actions. In Buddhism, since there is no soul, there is no rebirth but recreation of conditions.

Since there is no independent eternal inner self or soul, nothing about the individual remains intact to be reborn after death, decay, disintegration and dispersion. For an individual there is no rebirth according to Buddhism but as part of nature and society, we are reborn through recycling and recreation. Individuals are not reborn but human societies or Samsara are reborn through recycling in a closed system.

The Statue of Buddha

The statue of buddha is symbol of peace, resolve and detachment.

The statue of Buddha represents a state of meditation in which Buddha is at peace, withdrawn and detached from known and unknown by closing his eyes to remain blissful in himself.

The statue of Buddha siting in cross legged Lotus posture is only symbolic of resolve to sit and meditate until ignorance is dispelled, and truth is known. However, the Lotus posture is not healthy to sit for long duration as evident from the fact that Buddha himself suffered from back pain. Buddha was against violence towards oneself and other life forms.

Reference to Buddha in scriptures indicate that Buddha use to meditate sleeping on his right flank. Buddha indicated to meditate in a comfortable posture with a straight lower back.

Buddha explained practice of meditation through example of a monk going to forest and sitting in Lotus posture under a tree to remain aware of incoming and outgoing breath.

Lotus posture is not suitable for prolonged sitting and meditation, especially for children, because it prevents lower back from remaining straight naturally. Trying to sit straight for long with legs cross locked one above the other can depress core muscles, give rise to stress and lower back issues. Rather than relaxing body and mind, this posture can make meditation more difficult.

Traditionally, the people in India sit on low pedestal for sitting comfortably in Lotus posture; however, Seiza posture is best for prolonged sitting and meditation.

The statue of Buddha in a lotus posture is a later creation few hundred years after demise of Buddha. Lotus posture is best for the poor to sit down on hard surface without any carpet, low bench or low pedestal but it is not good for meditation or prolonged sitting without any back-support.

Seiza is the best natural posture for meditation and prolonged sitting if you can afford a carpet or low bench.

Idea of Constant Becoming in Buddhism

The idea of constant becoming also called “bhava” in Pali language means feeling. Bhava or constant becoming means feeling of being the Self on account of association with the known and unknown.

Constant becoming or Bhava is feeling of being Self, whether inner self on account of association with experiences or the Self on account of association with ideas of name, class, caste, nationality, gender, relations, inner self etc. Hence when the mind calms and body relax, then there is no association giving rise to “bhava” or feeling of being inner self or the Self.

Buddhist idea of constant becoming is based on transmigration of mind. However, in reality, it is not possible for mind to transmigrate intact because of it’s constantly changing nature subject to disintegration, dispersion and recycling just like body.

There is no independent inner self that has past birth or will have next birth. Without eternal inner self or soul, life is impermanent in Buddhism.

Constant becoming does not mean rebirthing. Constant becoming means recreation as part of a flow of life. Hence no person is reborn, but the cause and conditions can get recreated as effect of person’s intentional actions, also called “Karma” in Pali language. The idea of Samutpada proposes rebirth of human society rather than rebirth of individual.

Being Real Through Natural Awareness Without the Self

Life is natural. To be a real is to be natural like water, formless as if without the Self. Naturally, you are awareness the phenomenon of knowing arising due to natural constituent cause and conditions. You are neither the Self nor the inner self.

In your natural richness, you are fully aware, knowing correctly in the right context as it is and reflecting to become self-aware without the Self. You are real when fully aware and self-aware without the Self.

You are Natural Phenomenon of Awareness

Naturally, you are awareness, the phenomenon of knowing arising due to your natural constituent cause and conditions including but not limited to processes of life, your actions and effect of your tangible and intangible actions.

Naturally aware, without associating with the known and unknown, you are neither the Self nor the independent inner Self.

Awareness is natural phenomenon of knowing arising due to processes of life just like brightness is phenomenon of illumination due to dispersion of light. Like all phenomenon, you are ephemeral and empty without your constituent cause and conditions.

For you to be real, you need clear seamless awareness, the phenomenon of knowing correctly in the right context as it is. As clear seamless phenomenon of awareness, you can detach from known or unknown and reflect to become self-aware without the Self.

By becoming self-aware without the Self, you can remain aware of being aware and, recognize through intuitive insight the forgotten truth of your nature beyond the Self.

You are not the Self that arises due to your association with the known and unknown. You are neither the Self through association with ideas nor the inner Self through association with experiences.

The Self in any form is self-ignorance because the Self is artificially created through association with known and unknown ideas or experiences. Self-consciousness is nothing but stress created due to association with known and known. Self-consciousness is unhealthy just like unhealthy knee makes you conscious of it. The Self and the feeling of being inner self is unhealthy.

By being real through awareness and self-awareness without the Self, you can know correctly in the right context and live an authentic intense life with restrain and balance.

Genuine Life by Being Real as Awareness Without the Self

You are real when you are naturally aware without the Self. By being real, you live genuinely. Living genuinely means to know and live life as it is without illusions or hallucinations of the Self and the world.

Being Real You are Not Dual

Being real and fully aware without Self, you do not associate, you know correctly in the right context as it is without getting eclipsed by the Self and you can take right action without becoming inner doer. There is no duality in you in form of inner doer, inner feeler, inner knower, inner experiencer, inner self etc.

Connected to Reality

By being real you are connected to reality. Being real through seamlessly clear awareness without Self, you know experiences as they are and your response to the known and unknown is elicited spontaneously according to reality of cause and conditions and not according to the Self.

For example, when you know you are thirsty you drink water as human and not as high caste person choosy about who offers you the water. When someone hits at you, you run away or defend yourself as natural human and not suffer in silence because you are a servant or woman or fight to death for silly reason of hurt Self-image.

Self-Knowledge

By knowing the truth of your nature through spiritual enlightenment, you become real.

Being real, you are self-aware without the Self or Self-consciousness, and you are aware of your strengths, weakness, what you value in what order of priority and your principles. By being real and self-aware, you know why you are the way you are and what potential you hold.

Neither Narcissism nor Self-consciousness

Being real and self-aware without the Self, you are at ease without any Self-consciousness or narcissism. You neither have inferiority complex nor superiority complex.

To be real is to be fully aware as result of the richness of your constituent cause and conditions. It is deeper state of natural fulfilment and peace in which you feel secure in your source.

Being real through natural self-awareness without the Self, you are relaxed and stress free. You feel naturally confident, and you are naturally righteous due to freedom from subliminal stress of the Self and its negativities.

Living Skillfully by Being Real Through Awareness Without Self

You can either live and act by knowing the reality correctly in the right context through full natural awareness without the Self OR you can live and act according to the Self regardless of reality of cause and conditions.

Being real through natural awareness without Self, you are fluid, flexible, well adjusted, well adapted, resourceful through available situations and at advantage through available assets by knowing correctly in the right context. Naturally aware without the Self, you fit in harmoniously without losing yourself into reality.

As artificial Self, you are rigid, poorly adjusted, contriving, less resourceful, at conflict with reality and feel insecure due to association with known and unknown. As the Self, you may be difficult to fit in harmoniously with the reality.

As artificial Self, you react according to Self, whereas, by being real as natural awareness, your response is elicited according to the reality of cause and conditions.

Being real and naturally aware without Self, you live with the great natural flow of life, you act promptly without striving through right cause and conditions. You leave the right effect and impact of your actions harmonious with the reality. Fully aware you can take, as classically said, “actionless action”.

Being real without Self, you acknowledge the reality of ephemeral life without imposing religious wishful beliefs of afterlife or next birth. Being real as natural awareness, the phenomenon of knowing due to ephemeral constituent cause and conditions, you live the one and only opportunity of life as best as you can because you do not live Self-ignorantly as if you have afterlife, eternal life or next birth.

Being real as ephemeral awareness, the idea of supreme creator becomes irrelevant because you will no longer continue for getting judged after life.

By being real, you live here and now in the present as best as you can, creating a better future before you die, decay, disintegrate, disperse to get endlessly recycled.

Nonattachment: Key to Happiness in Impermanence

Nonattachment is key to happiness in the constantly changing world and impermanent life.

The way you live and act in the world can give rise to attachment and suffering. Hence, you should acknowledge impermanence and live in such a way that you do not get attached.

Nonattachment is to be like water, not grasping neither the known nor the unknown but letting go and moving on in order to be harmonious with the changing cause and conditions.

Impermanence Reigns Supreme

Everything known, unknown or beyond are impermanent phenomena arising due to constituent cause and conditions, which ultimately change, die, disintegrate, disperse and gets endlessly recycled.

Since you are also an impermanent phenomenon, the idea of “God” or “The supreme power that create, control or judge after life” is also irrelevant. Even “the God or the Supreme Power” is one of the impermanent factors among the many causes and conditions in the story of creation. Impermanence reigns supreme.

Since you are impermanent and everything known and unknown is impermanent on account of it’s changing constituent cause and conditions, there is no point in getting attached to anything.

Non-attachment is harmonious with the supreme law of impermanence, whereas attachment is against the supreme law of impermanence. Hence attachment brings suffering whereas non-attachment avoids suffering.

Attachment is Due to Association

Attachment arises due to association. You associate with known and unknown by identifying yourself with respect to known and unknown.

You may have physical association, for example association with one’s clothes. You may have psychological association, for example association with one’s name. Due to association with clothes, you may feel physically uncomfortable in a dress that is not suitable, or you may feel elated in good clothes. Due to psychological association with your name, you may like or dislike your name.

Attachment arises due to association through which you identify yourself with respect to known and unknown. You may get attached through association with known or unknown due to ignorance and lack of seamlessly clear detached awareness, the phenomenon of knowing correctly in the right context as it is.

Lack of awareness can be due to different reasons for example, immaturity, hypnosis, chronic stress etc. Factors like immaturity, hypnosis, stress etc. can be due to different cause and conditions. Attachment through association with known and unknown gives rise to the Self and feeling of being inner self which is self-ignorance.

Self-ignorance arises through self-delineation by associating with self-ideation, self-image, self-conception, self-identification or feeling of being inner Self independent of constituent cause and conditions. Inner Self is due to stress and self-delineation is self-ignorance making you rigid and in conflict with life and the world.

During meditation you relax and dissociate step by step away from the known and unknown to become fully aware and detached without mind and without inner self. Fully aware and detached without inner Self, you find the pleasure of nonattachment.

Happiness In Nonattachment

Enjoy your life sustainably by living in such a way that you do not get attached.

Since you and everything known, unknown or beyond is impermanent, there should be no fear of loss or jealousy of success. Everything good and bad that everyone has will be eventually lost.

Life is impermanent and so it is to be enjoyed sustainably without regrets; however, nothing is worth regretting in the one and only ephemeral life without permanent Self.

Living without attachment, you will neither be saddened by loss nor fear loss. Without attachment, you will accept change and move on with the great natural flow of life.

Without attachment there is no association with known or unknown, without association there is no Self. Without the Self, you will enjoy what you have without unnecessary personal desires.

Nonattachment Through Meditation

Nonattachment is one of the many benefits of meditation. Meditation detaches your attention by withdrawing and focusing your attention. Through focused but detached attention, you dissociate from known and unknown.

Meditation relieves the subliminal stress of association with known or unknown and gives sublime seamless clarity of detached awareness, the phenomenon of knowing correctly in the right context. Due to stress relief, inner-Self is dispelled, and you disappear psychologically but remain self-aware without Self due to crystal clear detached reflecting awareness.

Without inner Self, you do not associate with known or unknown and you can remain self-aware without the Self. Self-awareness is aware of being aware due to detached reflecting seamlessly clear awareness.

Through meditation you become aware and detached without the inner Self. Through detached seamlessly clear awareness without the inner Self, you know correctly in the right context without getting attached or controlled by known and unknown.

Concise Philosophy of Ideas and It’s Manifestation

Ideas represent possibilities in reality or imaginations. Ideas are imaginations or psychological point of views that can be real or unreal. Ideas are not tricks or hacks, but tricks and hacks can arise from the idea of making life easy or difficult. Ideas are imagination in some context.

Creativity and resourcefulness can give person the ability to see the contexts and come up with ideas. Due to their creative imagination, humans are capable of complex thinking and creating ideas. Ideas that you behold knowingly or unknowingly affect your attitude, your actions and the effect of your actions.

Ideas constitute philosophy. For example, philosophy of stoicism is based on ideas of minimalism, courage, justice, virtue. Philosophy of Taoism is based on naturalism, balance & equilibrium, being like water. Philosophy of Islam is based on idea of surrender to the security of supreme peace. Philosophy of Buddhism is based on ideas of impermanence, no-self, emptiness, conditional arising, collective karma, end of suffering etc.

Ideas can be universal or narrow, good or bad, right or wrong, true or false, real or unreal, advantageous or disadvantageous etc. Some ideas can be materialized to represent reality, for example scientific ideas. Some ideas are false and do not represent reality, for example idea of independent eternal immortal inner self and supreme creator.

True ideas can be materialized, verified, validated, proven, demonstrated, applied or at least known personally. Some ideas can be invented and turned into reality in form of technology, for example, ideas of currency representing valuables or idea of artificial wings in order to fly. Ideas can get misused due to wrong motives and methods behind their execution.

Under the umbrella of ideas, thoughts and philosophies manifest principles, policies, institutions, laws, rules, regulations, strategies, forms, practices, culture, customs, etc. For example, idea of right to privacy implemented through policies like HIPAA and upheld through laws and judiciary. This gives rise to a culture based on respecting others privacy. Thoughts and Ideas lie at the root of the human world.

Narrow rigid ideas bring mental slavery. Universal ideas broaden mind whereas freedom from all kinds of ideas bring psychological maturity.

Ideally, ideas should be universally true or real, manifestable, applicable, demonstrable, beneficial, evident or at least a personal experience, knowledge and understanding. Blind belief and faith in ideas can mislead you. Ideas should be livable rather than believable.

Beliefs in wrong ideas can manifest knowingly or unknowingly in form or wrong attitudes, actions, forms, practices, cultures, customs etc. Early life beliefs can have hypnotic effect on individuals making them psychologically immature and credulous.

It is also necessary to understand which ideas are important for reaching objectives, meeting goals and nurturing values. Objectives are motives, intensions or reasons behind goals. Ideally, objective should be ethical or noble. Goals, representing needs and desires, should be SMART, i.e. specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time bound. Value system represents what is of value or importance and in what order.

When you know what to value, you will know which ideas and it’s manifestations are important and in which order of priority. For example, for some the idea of life is more valuable than the idea of freedom and justice; but for some, the idea of freedom and justice are more valuable than the idea of life. Hence some societies will invest more in life science and healthcare while some will invest more in law, order and judiciary.

To know and understand manifestation of ideas correctly in the right context, it is necessary to have a seamless clarity of detached awareness, the phenomenon of knowing correctly in the right context as it is without getting associated with known or unknown.

Without associating with known and unknown, you are self-aware without the Self, you can understand ideas more impersonally in greater or deeper context.

Without self-ideation or self-identification, you are fully aware without inner self and your thinking is universal. Thinking through a universal point of view, your ideas can be wise and harmoniously synchronous with the greater context of life, nature and society.

Based on right thoughts, ideas and philosophies, the long haul of life and actions can mature in the right direction and get fulfilled meaningfully. Matured and meaningfully fulfilled life can outgrow giving rise to healthy detachment.

How to Manifest Ideas

For anything to manifest you need right cause and conditions. For example, to manifest moon in water, there has to be a watcher at night watching into clear calm water on full moon night.

Aware and detached from known and unknown, you do not associate with known and unknown thus not becoming the Self or inner Self.

Through a detached awareness without the Self, you neither engage with life selectively nor arbitrarily according to the Self. Through detached awareness, you disengage and know life correctly in the right context through a higher perspective like a high-flying eagle.

Fully aware without Self, you can know life correctly in the right context as it is and can live it authentically. Self-aware, knowing the truth of your nature without the Self, you can dare into maximum depths and dimensions of life fearlessly with restraint and balance, without getting lost yet knowing correctly in the right context.

Fully aware and detached without Self, you can live a naturally spontaneous authentic life, free from the Self and without self-ignorance.

Without the Self, you can live and act unrestricted without inhibitions, harmoniously with right cause and conditions, leading the great span of your naturally spontaneous authentic intense life to reach its natural fulfillment and purpose.

Without Self, you are neither restricted by negativities nor positivity of the Self. Without the Self you are like water, harmoniously adapting with the reality of cause and conditions and using all the situations of life to your advantage resourcefully.

Life is Ultimate Value

The natural truth is that one day everyone will lose everything after they disintegrate and perish. Whether joy or suffering, success or failure, it will all end with the end of life. Life is the ultimate value.

When you know that the one-and-only life is ephemeral, you will value it over everything else and try to make most out of it in an authentically meaningful way. Authentic life can be hard or easy, but it is correctly experienced and correctly known in the right context without any self-ignorance. To live authentically is to live without self-ignorance.

Life lived through seamless clarity of awareness without self is experienced and known correctly in the right context thus leading to your natural self-regulation, self-development, maturity, outgrowth, detachment, peace and order. Seamless clarity of detached awareness dispels self-ignorance.

Stop Living Self-Ignorantly

Life is ephemeral. The accidental spark of life is a rare opportunity. Hence every moment of life has to be lived and sustainably enjoyed authentically without ignorance.

You are awareness, the natural phenomenon of knowing, arising due to your indispensable constituent cause and conditions. You become your actions. However, due to self-ignorance, you may hold on to wrong ideas about yourself and life.

For example, you may live according to your self-image as if you are inner self that is eternal or immortal. Eternal immortal inner self is an imagination, and the Self is artificial based on name, gender, class, caste, religion, race, nationality etc..

Due to self-ignorance, you may live according to the Self based on self-conception, self-ideation, self-identity, inner-self etc. and waste your life in order to decorate or protect the Self through unnecessary desires and aversions.

Believing that you are eternally immortal inner self or the Self, you may not value the natural life, peace and security. Due to self-ignorance, you may live and act out of order and conflict with the reality.

Identify Truth of Your Nature from The Imagined Self

As evident through right meditation, you can survive without inner being or inner self, your self-image, your mind, your memories, identity, class, caste, race, religion, ideas, beliefs, unnecessary possessions, etc. Hence these are not your constituent conditions.

You cannot continue to survive without being aware, knowing what you experience. You also cannot continue to survive without the processes of life. You cannot continue to survive without taking necessary actions. You cannot continue to survive without necessary effects of your action and you cannot continue to survive without nature. You will Know that as part of nature, you are not limited to your skin.

You will know that you are awareness, the natural phenomenon of knowing, arising due to dynamic interaction of your indispensable constituent conditions including but not limited to processes of life; you involuntarily become your actions, and continue in the effect of your actions.

By recognizing the truth of your nature, you are naturally aware without hypnosis or hallucinations. By recognizing truth of your nature, you know why, when and what you need to value and in what priority.

Life lived rightly matures, outgrows, weans and gets detached to be at peace and order.

First and foremost, take care of yourself including everything without which you cannot continue to survive, grow and flourish, i.e. nurture your health, wellness, natural environment, etc. To take care of yourself, first ensure your security, safety, peace and order in life.

Growth and development of life to a high degree of harmonious integrity gives rise to a detached clear seamless awareness, involuntary self-regulation, natural fulfilment, maturity, detachment, independence and freedom.

Life evolved and detached, is liberated without any self-ignorance, and can be lived meaningfully through peace and order. Evolved and detached life is neither hypnotized nor overwhelmed by experiences.

Fully aware in between two consecutive thoughts, without being inner self and free from self-image, you live with the immense natural flow of life unaffected by personal likes and dislikes, actions are harmonious with the right conditions without striving and effect of actions are benevolent without interfering as if empathetic and compassionate.

The fulfillment and happiness felt through effortless detached clear seamless awareness arising from right conditions of life is due to restoration of rich natural innocence as if it was never lost throughout the course of your growth, maturity and development since the beginning of your infancy.

Life is an ephemeral natural flowering due to right cause and conditions. Spark of life is a rare accident and death is for sure. So, celebrate life neither getting attached nor getting serious about anything because eventually nothing will remain as it is.

Learning From Nature To Live Authentically

In nature all forms of life seek security of food and life. All forms of life want to relax, sleep, hibernate and be at peace. All forms of life seek pleasure and that is how they seek contact, reproduce, clean themself, and love the offsprings.

All forms of life which can move, seek freedom and avoid getting confined. All forms of life avoid death by staying away from predators. So also humans basically need and seek security, peace, pleasure, freedom, order and long life.

Mature humans without self-ignorance or ignorance about life and society, seek to become wise, and eventually get detached after fully experiencing the life. Security, peace, pleasure, long life, maturity, wisdom, freedom and detachment. This is what we seek through our objectives and goals in various forms.

Life in itself is a purpose, there is no need to go about seeking purpose in society. We, like silly with our body, processes of life and functions want to know who am I? and what is the purpose of life?

Art of Intense Living Through Self-Awareness Without Self

To live intensely is to live life in it’s all possible depths and dimensions while knowing correctly in the right context. You can live life in it’s all possible depths and dimensions while knowing it correctly in the right context through self-awareness without self.

The Self is due to self-conception, self-ideation, self-image, self-identification, inner self etc. through association with known and known ideas like name, age, gender, race, relations, class, caste, eternal self, divine self, religion, nationality etc.

Without the Self, you are fluid like water whereas due to the Self, you are hard like ice. Fluid and formless without self like water, you are well adapted, well adjusted, advantageously resourcefully with your assets and harmonious with the cause and conditions of life. Due to the Self, you are rigid, at odds with life, at conflict with the cause and conditions of your life and uncreative with your assets.

As the Self, you are associated with the known and known and you feel as if you are inner self in form of inner doer, inner thinker, inner feeler, eternal inner self etc. As self, you are associated with the known and unknown due to which you are controlled by the effects of known and known and lost in the known and unknown. Without the Self, you are fully aware and detached without inner self.

Fully aware and detached without inner self, you known correctly in the right context. Aware and detached, you dissociate and reflect to known the truth of your nature thus becoming self-aware.

Self-awareness without self is reflecting awareness and like north star in the wilderness of life. Self-aware, you are like a well build ship exploring the ocean of life by following the north star without getting lost. Self-aware without self, you can dare into all the depths and dimensions of life knowing correctly in the right context without getting lost.

Living life selflessly, you are not limited or restricted by self-conceptions, self-ideations, self-conceptions, self-images, inner self in forms like class, caste, gender, age, race, relations, caste, religion, nationality, inner thinker, inner doer, inner feeler, self-consciousness etc..

Without self, the whole world becomes resource at your disposal and you can use and take advantage of all situations. For a person without self, the world is like a uncarved block full of possibilities if they have the awareness to know.

Spiritual Enlightenment is Dispelling Self-Ignorance and Being Natural.

Enlightenment is to recognize the truth and dispel ignorance. Enlightenment feels like great relief and peace due to dispelling of ignorance.

Spiritual enlightenment is peace and relief felt due to dispelling of self-ignorance. Spiritual enlightenment is to recognize the truth of your nature, otherwise concealed due to self-ignorance arising from self-conceptions, hallucinations and hypnosis as a result of wrong upbringings and wrong way of life. Spiritual enlightenment is caused by recognizing the truth of your nature and is not conditional or does not depend on conditions. It is simple recognition of the truth.

You arise from nature. You are not an artificially defined imaginary idea of eternal inner soul related to supreme creator and controller. This world and life is neither solely created by one supreme factor nor can be solely controlled by any one supreme factor.

You exist as phenomenon of knowing arising due to processes of life and you involuntarily become your actions. Idea of inner self or inner being independent of your indispensable constituent conditions is a hallucination due to self-ignorance.

You are the knower but not the inner knower independent of your constituent conditions. You are the phenomenon of knowing arising due to your indispensable constituent conditions. You are aggregate result of your indispensable constituent cause and conditions.

Feeling of being inner self is hallucination created due to activities in the mind and subliminal physiological stress. Hallucination of being inner self is strengthened by hypnosis due to artificial self-image based on artificial ideas and beliefs regarding oneself.

During deep meditation when your mind is calm, body is relaxed, and energies are balanced, then your psychological personality disappears, and you are fully aware of being aware without feeling of being inner self and without hypnosis by self-image.

Without the hallucination of being inner-self and hypnosis by the Self, you are natural and effortlessly aware of being aware in between two consecutive thoughts and you experience everything without getting drawn or lost into known and unknown.

Like all phenomenon, as awareness, you are empty void without your indispensable constituent conditions. This recognition of the truth of your nature is enlightenment resulting due to dispelling of self-ignorance.

Such natural state of awareness detached and reflecting from it’s constituent conditions, is a matured phenomenon of knowing correctly in the right context and can be recognized through intuitive insight as truth of your nature distinct from experiences. This recognition is enlightenment resulting due to dispelling of self-ignorance.

Life After Spiritual Enlightenment

Spiritual enlightenment is to be completely natural in the present moment as a result of recognizing the truth of your nature.

Spiritual enlightenment is a recognition of the truth of your nature as it was since the beginning of your life. It is to become whole by recovering and recognizing that natural state as if never corrupted throughout your rich natural growth, maturity and development.

Spiritual enlightenment dispels self-ignorance including the hallucination of being inner self and hypnosis by self-image. After spiritual enlightenment, due to absence of hypnotic self-ignorance, you disappear psychologically just like a dream disappears when you wake up fully.

Spiritual enlightenment is like waking out of a dream or realizing that you have been enacting the self-conception and self-image due to hypnosis in the play and drama of life.

After spiritual enlightenment you are fully naturally aware without getting drawn or lost into experiences, and you live in present with the great natural flow of life without getting influenced by personal likes(cravings) or dislikes(aversions) arising from self-image.

Full awareness is unrestricted and feels like infinite deathlessness, however the feeling is simply due to harmony in the conditions of life-processes. Feeling of deathlessness is just like no notion of self during early stages of infancy.

Free from the Self, you are naturally aware and instinctively upright thus living through right thoughts, philosophies and ideas for the right reason, for right values and right principles to shape the long haul of life meaningfully.

Enlightened, you are naturally at peace and in order. It is result of your maturity and freedom from ignorance.
